  • Hard Work (performing calorie burning activities)

But even though ‘hard work’ makes the top three, please note that a proper, well balanced diet is step one and step two. Always remember: Bad eating trumps hard work every time.

So…you have to eat right and train smart. And note the difference between training hard and training smart. There has to be an all-out assault on fat loss. And while there’s no magic pill, potion or formula, there is a key: You have to operate at a caloric deficit while still consuming proteins and good fats.

Here are some basic but important nutritional steps that you should follow daily:
  1. Eat every two to four hours.
  2. Eat lean protein with every meal.
  3. Eat vegetables with every meal.
  4. Eat healthy fats daily (avocado, nuts, fish oil).
  5. Don’t consume beverages with more than zero calories.
  6. Always plan ahead.
